We all had a great evening with delicious food and entertainment. Check here to see more photos of the event.
RMA had a great time at the Filipino Flag Raising Ceremony to celebrate Philippine Independence Day. Thank you to all the kind people who attended, prepared food, and participated on June 11, 2022.
Photos of the event are in our past events tab here. NBCTR's Tenant Advocate and lawyer Jael Duarte is presenting a webinar on tenant obligations and rights based on the Residential Tenancies Act with live translation into Arabic, Somali, Chinese and Spanish. Here is the registration link: https://us02web.zoom.us/.../tZ0uc... The water is still high from the snow melting, and there has been a lot of rain recently. The water here is usually crystal clear, but as you can see, it's murky. We didn't have any luck today. Have you gotten your NB Fishing License yet? If it's your first one, you'll need to register for an NB Outdoors Card before you can get a license. If you need any help, drop by our office, and we'd be happy to help.
RMA is starting a fishing group. We are still planning, but we are hoping to go at least twice a month in summer. We will supply the tackle such as rods, reels, line, spinners, hooks, and bait. There will also be information and orientation with a guide, e.g., getting a fishing license, rules and regulations, and how to fish locally. We will keep the groups to 5 people per session to not crowd the spots. It will be a great opportunity to experience the outdoors and connect with the local community. The need is urgent! In the next 10 years, 120,000 jobs (1) will be available in New Brunswick, which is much more than our local labour force will be able to meet if it continues to grow at the current rate. In this context, francophone immigration is an opportunity to accompany New Brunswick's economic growth, while promoting cultural diversity within the province. However, in order to attract and retain more Francophone immigrants, we must act collectively! Municipalities, communities, organizations, employers in New Brunswick: now is the time to unite our energies and share our best practices to accompany Francophone immigrants throughout their journey, welcome them, recruit them, integrate them in the long term and... in short, act together for the Francophonie. Our economic future and the richness of the cultural heritage that we will bequeath to future generations are at stake. The Réseau en Immigration Francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick invites you on May 18 and 19 for its 2nd Annual Forum. A meeting of decision-makers and stakeholders in Francophone immigration, this event will also provide New Brunswickers with the directions to follow and take part in the actions being implemented.
