Visit to the Botanical Gardens and the Battle of the Restigouche Museum 2016
On August 13th, members of the Restigouche Multicultural Association joined with the Chaleur Multicultural Association and visited the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Edmundston, NB. Followed by a trip to the Battle of the Restigouche Museum in Cross Point, QC. It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed these activities.
Canada Day Friendship Walk 2016
On July 1st, the Restigouche Multicultural Association participated in the Friendship Walk, a Salmon Festival event. Members of our association walked across the JC Van Horne bridge, which connects Campbellton to Quebec, with flags from their countries and others carried flags from countries from which some of our Restigouche residents originate from. Everyone enjoyed cake and refreshments to celebrate Canada Day.
Multicultural Day 2016
On June 27th, The Restigouche Multicultural Association hosted Multicultural Day at Les Montagnards Outdoor Club at the Sugarloaf Park. The club was filled with adults and children who enjoyed a variety of activities such as:
A two-part race concluded the afternoon's events, the first part being a three-legged race followed by a potato sack race.
A Vietnamese supper was served for volunteers and invited guests by a local seasoned chef. The Club was filled with children and adults alike.

Francophone Pride Day 2016
Francophone Pride Day was held on March 31st, at the CCNB Campbellton campus. Various speakers presented on francophones as well as the differences from country to country. Pizza was served for all in attendance. Entertainment included;

- Acadian Legends by Raymonde Balfour
- Guitar by Denis Michel Hache
Canada Winter Fun Day 2016
On March 5th, the Restigouche Multicultural Association hosted "Canada Winter Experience Day" and a pot luck at Les Montagnards Outdoor Club at Sugarloaf Park. The event was held to introduce newcomers to our great Canadian outdoor winter activities. Attendees watched demonstrations and learned how to snowshoe and cross country ski. The pot luck was a huge success with food from over 20 different countries.
Black History Month 2016
The Restigouche Multicultural Association participated in celebrating Black History Month hosted by Konsalcan (K-Push). It was held at the Sugarloaf Senior High School in February. Attendees learned about the importance of Black History Month. There were a number of speakers who presented the history and contributions afro-americans bring to our Canadian society. There was also singing and dancing performed by SSHS students and an international performance by a group of young ladies from Bathurst.
