This striped bass was unfortunately just short of the 50–65 cm acceptable size for keeping. 48 cm is still a nice size to catch on a beautiful day. We released it carefully back into the water. Read more about the regulations here.

Today we fished for striped bass in the Restigouche River. The local fishers were friendly and gave us plenty of tips. Be sure you know the regulations for striped bass before fishing.
