ABOUT US


             WE HELP NEWCOMERS INTEGRATE INTO OUR COMMUNITY

The Restigouche Multicultural Association (RMA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to leading the development and growth of multiculturalism by welcoming newcomers from other countries into the Restigouche region.

SERVICES OFFERED INCLUDE: 
  • Social integration assistance
  • Links to employment and employer support
  • Community awareness and education
  • Other settlement support  

An objective of the RMA is to increase community awareness regarding issues of immigration and cultural differences.


ASSISTANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES


SETTLEMENT SUPPORT
 The Restigouche Multicultural Association helps newcomers by supplying them with essential  information regarding a variety of subjects such as lodging, transportation, education, jobs, public services, local businesses, banks, newspapers, emergency and health services, language courses, identification documents and more.



INTEGRATION
Our goal is to integrate newcomers into the community while stimulating the participation  of community members in events through multicultural activities. 
Newcomers participate in the economic and cultural life of the region and stimulate its development.  
Our support to employers and entrepreneurs creates a culturally diverse work environment. 


LANGUAGE COURSES
 T
he province of New Brunswick is officially bilingual. The center will coordinate second language courses (French or English) for permanent residents at no cost. 
​Whether the student is a beginner or wants to improve his/her skills, the classes will be tailored to the student’s needs.


WORK LIAISON
 
Newcomers benefit from employment guidance for integration into the work force and the business community.
 They also benefit from assistance with the recognition of their foreign credentials and qualifications.

Local entrepreneurs and employers benefit from support which allows them to better integrate immigrants into their businesses and organizations. Consultation is offered to employees and managers.

International Experience Canada
