Job Description
                                          Administration Officer

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Restigouche Multicultural Association, the Administration Officer will be responsible for performing administrative duties outlined as follows:

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:

Provide Administrative and organizational support to the Executive Director and staff of the Restigouche Multicultural Association.

Provide receptionist duties for the association.

Record and transcribe minutes of meetings including board meetings of the association.

Perform financial duties including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, payroll and data entry.

​Respond to electronic, in person and phone inquiries from clients and the General Public.

Classify and file documents and maintain inventories for clients, members and volunteers Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of events and activities.

Conduct research as required Assist with funding applications and reports to funders. 

Provide initial welcome (if required) to newcomers in person and by phone and make appropriate referrals for further processing.

Assist with audit preparation and research Maintain the Restigouche Multicultural
Association’s website.

Record attendance and ensure collection of necessary forms, etc. Travel may be required Other related administrative support as required.

Requirements, Qualifications & Experience
The successful incumbent must possess solid administrative and financial experience and possess a genuine interest in helping immigrants settle and integrate in Restigouche. Related education and experience will be evaluated. 

We are seeking an individual with the following:

Cross Cultural sensitivity Effective interpersonal communication skills Experience working with diverse cultures preferably in non-profit organizations Extensive knowledge and experience in using computers, including Microsoft Suite programs Proficiency in performing Intermediate administrative tasks Extensive office experience.The Employee must be bilingual (English and French), knowledge of additional languages considered an asset.
