1 JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Director is responsible for the management of the day to day organization of the Restigouche Multicultural Association, under the direction of the President of the Board of Directors.. The Restigouche Multicultural Association is a Newcomer Settlement Agency which serves Restigouche County.
The Executive Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, overseeing, reporting, administering and implementing financial and human resource management activities in addition to implementing and monitoring strategic and action plans. The Executive Director informs and advises the Board of Directors with respect to major policies and strategic development of the organization. In addition, he or she carries out advocacy and lobbying activities.
The Executive Director provides overall direction and leadership on behalf of the Restigouche Multicultural Association settlement agency and ensures that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the mission and reflect its overall priorities.
The job requires being available to travel outside the region as well as to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary and benefits
$25.00 to $27.42 per hour for 35 hours per week. Based on experience and qualifications

2 MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Administrative and Human Resources
- Oversee Human Resource needs for the RMA.
- Recruit and train new employees.
- Provide yearly job reviews to each RMA employee.
- Oversee the administrative duties of the RMA.
- Oversee the management and monitoring of RMA client and administrative files.
- Monitor the information management system for clients, members, as well as documentation of the association, adjust as needed.
- Oversee the association's activities calendar and schedule of offered services.
- Oversee the use of management tools and supports system to meet clients needs (registration form, follow-up sheets, tracking for report writing, research on laws, procedures and potential partnerships, etc.) and adjust as needed.
- Write reports in accordance with the requirements of the association and its funders.
- Oversee the purchase of office equipment necessary for the operation of the association.
- Attend board meetings, and provide detailed reports of the association’s services and activities.
- Develop and maintain regular, courteous and respectful exchanges with the various stakeholders and partners of the association.
2.2 Financial management
- Secure funding to support the RMA.
- Write funding requests to regular ongoing funding partners of the RMA and identify new sources of potential funding.
- Prepare yearly budgets for the operations and activities of the RMA.
- Prepare the financial reports required by the funders of the RMA.
- Manage the spending of each account in accordance with the funding requirements.
- Ensure financial accountability.
2.3 Communication and Marketing
- Maintain regular communications between employees, partners and the Board of Directors.
- Assure the creation and distribution of communication and publicity material to promote the association's activities and services.
- Oversee public communications, promotion and marketing of the RMA.
- Ensure good communication with the association's clients, members and volunteers.
- Monitor and adjust communication needs on an as needed basis.
2.4 Regular Duties
- Oversee the day to day operations and the staff of the RMA.
- Develop and adapt the association's annual action plan with the needs of the clients and the community, and in accordance with the guidelines of our funders.
- Update the elements of the action plan of the association under its function on an ongoing basis and present it to Board of Directors at regular board meetings.
- Regularly adapt the services of the RMA to the needs of clients and the community.
- Keep knowledge up to date and suggest improvements to work tools.
- Develop strategic partnerships and build networks to advance the RMA’s mandate.
- Maintain relationships with local and provincial partners with the goal of collaborating on common goals related to the settlement and integration of newcomers, including participating in various committees, consultations and initiatives.
- Collaborate/partner with NBMC and other Settlement Agencies in NB (best practices).
- Oversee and participate (as needed) in organizing and in the execution of activities of the association.

- Training in management or in a related field or any other combination of training and experience deemed relevant.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Experience in community outreach/public relations.
- Strong organizational and reporting writing skills.
- Experience in providing services or working with a culturally diverse clientele or work team.
- Autonomy and versatility.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to handle multiple files simultaneously, under tight deadlines and under pressure, and ability to solve problems.
- Ability to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing.
- The ability to work in a team environment.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, web applications and social media).
- Discretion and confidentiality.
- Valid drivers’ license and access to a vehicle to fulfill travel requirement.
