Melindria Tavoularis

President

Melindria arrived in Restigouche from the state of Maine in 2003. Originally from NYC, she was granted a permit to work as a fine artist in 2006 by the Canadian government and became a Canadian citizen in 2020. Melindria is an accomplished artist/painter who has exhibited in the USA and NB. She also had a professional career as a psychotherapist for over 30 years in the USA, and sat on multiple non-profit boards and councils as an advisor, member and chairperson. She has a B.A. degree in art history from the University of Wisconsin, and a M.A. in clinical counseling from Columbia University.

Dennis has extensive board experience including being a past board president of the New Brunswick Multicultural Council, past president of the Multicultural Association Chaleur Region and a past president of the Bathurst Farmers Market. Dennis is a past President/Chief of the New Brunswick Aboriginal Peoples Council. During his political career Dennis sat on many provincial and national boards as a First Nations Chief/representative. Dennis studied at Saint-Thomas University and University of New Brunswick.

Nancy worked in the healthcare field for over 36 years. She is a past President and current board member of the New Brunswick Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries, and a past Chair of Friends of Healthcare Foundation. Nancy is also the secretary for the Restigouche Pastoral Charge and volunteers regularly with multiple community organizations such as Meals on Wheels. You can often find Nancy participating in the various activities around the community. Nancy has served as the treasurer of the Restigouche Multicultural Association since September 2018.

Raymart Lugue

In 2016, Raymart moved to New Brunswick as an international student. After graduating, he started working as a licensed religious minister and being involved in various communities and charitable organizations. Raymart currently serves as the Associate Minister of Life Church in Campbellton, the Founding Director of the Filipino Community of Restigouche, and the Director of the Atlantic District Multicultural Ministries – a non-profit organization that promotes cultural diversity amongst the Pentecostal churches in New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Prince Edward Island. He has authored a few books, and is finishing his Master of Arts in Christian Ministry in Intercultural Studies at Urshan Graduate School of Theology in Wentzville, Missouri. Because of his passion for the immigrants and newcomers, you can often find Raymart in events and activities that help people integrate into local cultural groups and into the bigger community of Restigouche.

Lisette Doucet is the Director of Economic Development at the Restigouche Regional Service Commission. With over 20 years of experience in the community, she has dedicated her career to building bridges between people, ideas, and opportunities. A woman of heart and hands-on experience, she firmly believes that economic development begins with the well-being of individuals and the development of their potential.

Whether supporting the emergence of local projects, strengthening the entrepreneurial fabric, or fostering the integration of newcomers, she always acts with the same sincere intention—contributing to a vibrant, inclusive, and bold Restigouche. For Lisette, every successful entrepreneur, every citizen who chooses to settle here, every partnership that takes root is a collective victory. And it is in this spirit of collaboration and regional pride that she continues to build a promising future for her part of the country.

Melissa Irvine

Melissa is the Executive Director at the InspireAction Centre, a local non-for-profit organization. She is passionate about helping the organization achieve its mission of “Inspiring people, entrepreneurs and communities take action so they can thrive!” Born and raised in the Campbellton area, she is very involved in her community and sits on various boards and committees. In addition to her various professional achievements, Melissa’s greatest accomplishment is her beautiful family. She is a proud wife and mother of two young boys.

Tyler Richard is the 33-year-old Executive Director of the Restigouche Chamber of Commerce. He holds a Bachelor of Management degree from Athabasca University and has served the Restigouche community in various management roles, including managing Shoppers Drug Mart in Campbellton and Pet Valu in Atholville. For his dedication to supporting the community through events and sponsorships, Tyler was honored with the Community Involvement Award by Pet Valu.

A passionate community advocate, Tyler is a proud member of the Campbellton Lions Club and serves on the board of the Restigouche County SPCA. He is deeply committed to fostering the growth and well-being of his community, with a focus on its most valuable asset: its people.
