Restigouche Multicultural Association Haiti Relief Fund
As most of you already know, Haiti is a very poor country that is heavily and frequently affected by natural disaster. Just after having recovered from the 2010 earthquake, the country was once again hit by a natural disaster, this time in the form of Hurricane Matthew in early October. Many villages completely destroyed, most Haitians are left hungry and thirsty, with nowhere to turn to. The death count is at over 1000, with an estimated 1.4 million people requiring humanitarian aid.
The Restigouche Multicultural Association has set up a relief fund to help support this devastating cause. Donations can be made in our office located at 95 Roseberry Street or mailed to Box 122, Campbellton, NB E3N 3G1 or directly at the Royal Bank. Please make cheques payable to the Restigouche Multicultural Association. The account number is 00334-1006758. All proceeds will go directly to Haitian families and communities. For any more information contact Carol Perkison, Executive Director at (506) 789-0380.
